Pavilion Tokyo 2021

Tokyo city is now having an art event, “Pavilion Tokyo 2021,” until September 5th. Ten artworks are exhibits in the middle of the town, Japanese garden, city hall, and train station. Maybe you know some artists, such as Yayoi Kusama or Kazuyo Sejima of SANAA.

I visited six of them a few days ago, and these are the photos I took.
“The Obliteration Room” by Yayoi Kusama was fun! We can stick round shape stickers anywhere in the white room. It made me remind my childhood. The room will look different at the begging of the event and the time end of the event. I want to visit there again near the end of the exhibition to see how it looks different from what I see.

“Tea House ‘Go-an'” by Terunobu Fujimori was sitting right in front of the Tokyo Olympic Games’ main venue. We can’t have tea there, but we can have a calm moment.

There are some pieces of art I couldn’t understand the point, but some I like. I think it is a natural reaction when people confront an artistic creation. And that is one of the keys to know oneself deeper, I think.
I’m looking forward to visiting four more artworks!
